8U Boys County Cup Report

Team: David, Rafael, Kiyaan & Idris

The Northamptonshire U8 boys travelled to Knighton Tennis Centre in Leicester for the County Cup, and it turned into a really positive day for the team.

The boys started against Leicestershire and, although there were a few early nerves, they gave it their best and competed well against a very strong side. Leicestershire played some excellent tennis and deserved the win, but our boys showed good attitude and kept fighting for every point.

After that, the boys really grew into the day. Their next match was against Nottinghamshire, where they played with much more confidence, energy and belief. There was some brilliant tennis on show in both the singles and doubles, and Northamptonshire came away with a fantastic 8–2 win overall.

The boys then carried that momentum into their final match against Lincolnshire. They kept the positive energy going, supported each other well, and finished the day with another excellent 8–2 win.

Overall, it was a fantastic day for the Northamptonshire U8 boys. They showed great team spirit, improved as the day went on, and represented the county brilliantly.

A huge well done to all the boys for their effort, attitude and sportsmanship. Plenty to be proud of, and a great experience for everyone involved.
