18U Girls County Cup Report

Northamptonshire U18 Girls produced an excellent weekend of tennis to secure promotion to Division 3, with all eight players contributing across the matches.

Leicestershire v Northamptonshire

A strong opening saw early wins from Sophia Agius, Tegan, Leah, Evie and Natalia to take control. Debutants Lois and Maely gained valuable experience in the doubles, with the team completing a convincing 7–2 victory.

West Scotland v Northamptonshire

Another dominant performance resulted in a 7–2 win. Lois White impressed on debut, coming back from a break down in both sets, while Maya delivered the standout match, recovering from a set down to win comfortably in the third.

Northamptonshire v Devon – Title Decider

Devon started strongly, but Northamptonshire showed resilience. Key wins from Evie, Natalia—who fought back from 5–4 down in the final set—and Leah levelled the match. Tegan’s strong performance at number one gave the team a 4–2 lead going into doubles.

Evie and Natalia secured the decisive point with an excellent doubles performance, sealing the overall victory and promotion to Division 3.

A special mention to Tegan Bush, who finishes her U18 County Cup career unbeaten over five years and has been instrumental in the team’s success.
