Referee Development Grant Application    

NLTA is currently able to offer grants to support referees in progressing their careers and help grow competitions in Northamptonshire, making it relevant, accessible, welcoming, and enjoyable to all.

The intention, funds permitting, is for NLTA to fund £50 of an LTA course cost to the referee qualification.

The funding criteria, and process, are intended to be simple and achievable:

  • Candidates need to be working in or supporting competition programmes at Northants LTA Registered Clubs and Venues upon application.
  • Prior to the Course, please send the application form to the Competition Development lead for approval; competition@northantslta.co.uk
  • Following Course completion, 6 months of involvement with competitions at a Northants LTA Registered Club or Venue and/or support at Northants County Closed, candidates will be eligible for £50 of the course cost
  • At this point please send the course Certificate, and Invoice to the value of £50, to be submitted to Competition Workforce Development lead for verification; competition@northantslta.co.uk and copied to County admin for payment processing admin@northantslta.co.uk

Application decisions will be made jointly by the Competition Workforce Lead and Chair of NLTA Participation Committee.

Before submitting this application form it is important to have a conversation with the Club Head Coach/Venue management to ensure they are able to support your application and sponsor’ the work experience you will need to gain your qualification.

Coach Development Grant      

Northamptonshire Tennis (NLTA) aims to have more people, playing more tennis, more often.

We recognise that Coaches are essential to the health of the game in the County, helping to grow tennis, making it relevant, accessible, welcoming, and enjoyable to all.

To help achieve this NLTA is currently able to offer grants to support coaches in progressing their careers.

This grant is applicable to all levels of coaching, including Level 1 – LTA Assistant.

The intention, funds permitting, is for NLTA to match fund 50% of an LTA course cost for any coaching qualification. For example, if a Level 2 course costs £450 then £225 funding is available.

The funding criteria, and process, is intended to be simple and achievable:

  • Candidates need to be working in or supporting coaching programmes at Northants LTA Registered Clubs and Venues upon application. For Level 1’s, Advantage Registered to a Northants Venue
  • Prior to the Course, please send application form to the County Workforce Development lead for approval justinchacksfield@yahoo.co.uk
  • Following Course completion, and 6 months continuous involvement with a programme at a Northants LTA Registered Club or Venue, candidates will be eligible for 50% of the course cost
  • At this point please submit your course Certificate, and an Invoice to the value of 50% course cost, to County Workforce Development lead for verification justinchacksfield@yahoo.co.uk and copied to County admin for payment processing admin@northantslta.co.uk
