8U Boys

On a sunny day at Hills Road, the Boys came with some great team spirit and energy, supporting each other on and off the court.
With a lot of the information we have been explaining to them at the county sessions being shown throughout their matches which was a positive.
Unfortunately, on the day the other teams were of a high standard and although some really close games and fantastic rallies the boys struggled to keep up with the other boys in their group.
The boys efforts in all matches were brilliant and they gave their absolute best so they can hold their heads high moving on to the next event.

8U Girls
Team: Olivia, Bella, Isla, Sophia, Ariella and Precious
Captain: David Barr
The girls were a credit to Northants tennis, putting in solid performances all day to get wins for the team.
We started well with a 3-3 draw against Suffolk with wins from Isla, Sophia & Precious.
We then blew Oxfordshire away with a 5-1 win, but then we lost by the same margin against an always strong Hertfordshire with Olivia getting a good win at number 1.
We bounced straight back with a good 4-2 win against Bucks which meant we came 3rd in our group of 5 counties.
Our final play-off position match was against Norfolk. It shows that both counties were evenly matched and so it proved with another 3-3 draw. However we had a better points difference, so we came 5th! Amazing!
