18U 12 Counties Report
18U Boys Report
First match against a very strong Berkshire team. Marcel lost a tight match against his old county 4-2, 4-2. James lost at #3 but put up a good performance for his first ever county match. Kacper playing at #1 had a monumental battle finally losing 3-5, 7-6 and 8-10 in match tie break after 2 and half hours. Finally, Northants #4 Ilian also lost a tight long match 4-2, 2-4 match tie break 8-10 so losing 4-0 to Berkshire.
Round 2 v Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Marcel on first at #2 won a great 3 set match 4-5 (2), 4-1 and 10-6 in match tie break. James lost at # 3 4-1,4-2 but is gaining in confidence. A win for Ilian 4-2, 4-1 and a comfortable 4-2, 4-0 win for Kacper to give Northants a win over Herefordshire & Worcestershire 3-1
In our final match vs Leicestershire, James lost at #3 in a close fought 3 set match. Marcel was awarded a walkover, while Kacper dominated at #1 winning 5-4, 4-0 with Ilian losing the final match 3-5, 1-4 for a 2 all draw with Leicestershire.

18U Girls Report
Northants vs Berkshire
Number 1 player Leah starts the ball rolling with 4-0, 4-0 in under 30mins. Closely followed by a straight sets win by Annika. Hattie fought hard after a slow start losing in a tight 3rd set match tie break. Evie loses first set and then takes control early in the second to win in the third set match tie break.
Northants beat Berkshire 3-1.
Northants vs Herefordshire and Worcestershire
Leah flies through her match wining 4-0, 4-0. Annika serves up another solid performance 4-2, 4-1. Hattie loses after hard fought match 2-4, 2-4. Evie was fast out of the blocks winning the first set quickly. Second set her opponent starts well but Evie soon takes it another level to win winning 4-2, 4-0.
Northants beat Hereford & Worcester 3-1.
Northants vs Leicestershire
Annika takes a tight first set and serves for the match only to be pegged back to one set all but comes through to win in the 3rd set match tie break. Leah drops her first games of the day in the first set winning 5-3 but then swiftly took the second set 4-0 to finish off the day with 3 out of 3 wins. Hattie's last match was a seesaw affair with the first two sets taken 4-0 by each player. Sadly for Hattie the match tie break went 10-8 to her opponent. Evie won her last match in quick time 4-1, 4-0.
Northants beat Leicestershire 3-1.
